Install Windows On Mac

Install Windows on Mac easily by using Boot Camp. The free downloadable software allows you to run Windows with your Mac hardware.

It will not run on Mac PC that is not Intel based, so make sure the Mac you are using has an Intel based processor. Keep a blank writeable CD with you, so you can burn it when required during the process.

To install Windows on Mac, first, you will need to download Boot Camp. Print out the installation and setup guide to help you during the process.

Install the Boot Camp assistant, and launch it from the Utilities menu, then reboot your system. Use the CD to burn a Macintosh Drivers CD.

This will allow you to run Windows XP on Mac. After you have the drivers, you want to partition the hard drive.

Make a partition for Windows XP, and use the other for Mac OS X. Increase the Windows partition space to 10 GB for best results.

Now, click on partition and install your Windows XP. The Service Pack 2 works better, so choose to install SP 2.

Insert the installation disk, and start installation. When you get to choose partition, choose the partition by the size you have allotted, i.e.

10 GB. The actual installation will then begin.

For partition format choose FAT, as it works better. When done with the installation, take out the CD, and load the drivers CD that you burned earlier.

The drivers will be automatically installed. After the installation is complete, you are ready to use your Mac hardware with Windows XP operating system.

Play Windows games, open and read Window files without a problem. The Boot Camp from Apple makes everything a breeze.

All in all, the Boot Camp free software can be used to load Windows XP on Mac OS X hardware. Install Windows on Mac by making two partitions, and loading drivers for the hardware.
